Jane Boyd Prince, Ph.D., CCC-A
Jane Boyd Prince, Ph.D., President for Grow Learning Centre, received her Doctoral Degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences in 1981 from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her career has included working with children diagnosed with learning disabilities in the public schools and United States Department of Defense, Bonn, Germany. Dr. Prince was a tenured Associate Professor in Speech Pathology, leaning her special interests in language development and language disorders in children to work with graduate and undergraduate students in Speech Pathology. She moved into private practice working and leading a large company practice providing early learning and therapies to children birth to five years.
Bill Sims, M.Ed
Bill Sims, Grow Learning Centre’s Vice President of Educational Services and Clinic Operations brings over 13 years of experience in early childhood day treatment. Bill holds an Arkansas teaching license in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and began his career in the classroom as an Early Childhood Developmental Specialist. He soon transitioned into administration and management where he served in a variety of roles, including Director of Education, Health and Safety, and Performance Improvement. Bill was personally responsible for the development of the preschool curriculum used in ten early childhood intervention clinics, which together served more than 1000 children per day. In addition, his responsibilities as Director of Health and Safety and Performance Improvement included the oversight and development of employee training/orientation and patient outcomes/reporting.
Bill holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Bill’s enthusiasm and excitement in the field comes from his many years of experience witnessing the difference early intervention has made in the lives of children and their families.
Dr. Susanna Shermer, MD – Medical Director
Dr. Shermer has been in Family Practice for ten years, treating patients across the lifespan. She is an Arkansas native and completed her undergraduate work at Hendrix College in Conway, AR before attending UAMS College of Medicine for medical school. Dr. Shermer is a key team member at Grow Learning Centre, as she engages in weekly staff meetings and Sprout Meetings where we discuss your child’s progress
As a parent or guardian, you will most likely meet Dr. Shermer upon admission, where every child undergoes a physical assessment. Dr. Shermer will have the opportunity to meet with you and your child on a regular basis while enrolled here at Grow Learning Centre. She is so excited to embark on this adventure with us as our Medical Director.
